1. Take a few photos
Point your phone at your board, sail, wing, kite or whatever else is gathering dust. Tradewind identifies the kit and fills in the boring bits. You check it, add anything we've missed and you're ready to go.
2. Pick your price
See useful pricing guidance and choose what you want for it. Accept offers if you want to, or stick to your price.
3. Find the right rider
Your gear becomes part of the UK marketplace, searchable by people who actually understand what a 120L freeride board or 5m wing is. They can buy it, make an offer or ask you something first.
4. Collection or delivery
Meet locally or arrange delivery. For awkward watersports kit, Tradewind helps find an appropriate delivery option rather than pretending a 250cm mast is a normal parcel.
5. Get paid
When a sale goes through Tradewind, payment is handled securely and your payout is managed automatically.

Questions riders ask
What does it cost me to sell?
Nothing to list. When your item sells, Tradewind deducts a 5% selling fee from the item price — card processing included. There's no membership and no fee on delivery.
So how does Tradewind make money?
The 5% selling fee, and nothing else. It covers card processing, holding the payment until the gear has changed hands, and our support if a sale goes wrong. It isn't insurance. Buyers pay no Tradewind fee; delivery is charged separately and carries no selling fee.
When do I get paid?
Once the buyer has the gear. Collections release within a couple of hours of the handover code being used; posted items release a few days after delivery so there's time to flag a problem.
What if the buyer says it isn't as described?
Tell us and we'll look at it. Honest listings are protected — that's why the condition notes and photos matter. Describe the dings and you'll almost never have a problem.
Do I have to post it?
No. Collection only is fine, and plenty of gear sells that way. If you're happy to post, we'll price the courier for you, including oversized boards.
What's a Gear Passport?
Every item you list gets a permanent record — repairs, services, previous owners. It stays with the gear when it sells, so the next buyer can see it's been looked after. That's what makes good kit worth more here.
